Fox Business News: Mortgage lender to build a $500 million office tower in downtown Miami

Credit Suisse announced it would build a 500-foot office tower on the grounds of the historic Morton buildings in Miami, Florida.

Credit Suse announced its plans to construct the new Morton Tower on July 29.

The company plans to break ground in late 2020, but a spokesperson for the company did not specify the timeline for completion.

“We have an ambitious plan for Morton, and the time to complete this ambitious project is now,” said Morton Building Director and CEO Richard Pfeiffer in a statement.

“Our team is working with our existing tenants, the Mortons, and our new investors to make sure this new office tower is built with the highest standards of construction and safety.”

The Mortons have been the home of many of the country’s leading architects, including John Gehman, Robert Moses and Frank Gehry.

The Morton building will house more than 5,000 employees.

The Mortons are known for building some of the most famous buildings in the world including the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the World Financial Center.
